Sculpting Ceramic Sconces
Saturday July 26th 9am-1pm
~Specialty Artist Workshop~ with Val Shamma (@valshamma)
join us for a hands-on ceramic course where form meets function. in this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of sculpting wall-mounted ceramic sconces. it is a perfect opportunity to explore the artistic and architectural possibilities of ceramics.
by the end of the workshop, you’ll have crafted your own unique ceramic sconce — ready to bring warmth and personality to any space. pieces will be fired by studio staff and ready to pick up ~3 weeks after the workshop.
Ages 16+ | all materials & kiln firings included | dress to get messy
instructor: Val brings over a decade of experience working in production and communal ceramics studios, with a focus on crafting functional, design-forward pieces. specializing in ceramic lighting fixtures and furniture, his work explores the intersection of organic form and industrial design. in the studio, he creates striking furniture, lighting, and tabletop objects that blur the line between sculpture and utility — and he brings that same thoughtful, hands-on approach to his teaching.
refund policy: classes and workshops are non-refundable one week before the first class starts. full refund if canceled two weeks before first class & 1/2 refund if canceled before the one week cut-off. any refund requested before the one week cut off is subject to a $20 processing fee which will be deducted from your refund total.
