kiln rentals are available for visiting ceramic artists and members needing to fire large volumes of work or working on tight deadlines. all firings are handled by north adams clay staff, including loading, unloading, and programming—unless otherwise arranged. please note the prices below reflect the cost of electricity, wear and tear on the kiln, and the labor involved in firing.

members: all prices listed below are in addition to a monthly studio or kiln membership.

visiting artists: A $30 administrative fee applies unless you sign up for a prorated membership. dark and light stoneware is also available for purchase at $30 / 25 lb bag from Sheffield pottery. email northadamsclay@gmail.com to schedule a studio visit and discuss options in more detail!

kiln specifications & pricing:

we have 3 electric L&L kilns of varying sizes. all bisque firings are to cone 04 and glaze firings are to cone 6. we have various kiln accessories for use - posts, stilts, shelves, cones, bead rack, etc. availability and turnaround time are subject to vary depending on current influx of work.
