private parties and events
interested in a private ceramics class? we would love to connect and coordinate an event with you! we offer private instruction in both wheel throwing and hand-building.
who: we can accommodate all levels (beginner to advanced) and any ages 8+ in the space
capacity: the space can accommodate up to 6 people wheel throwing or 8 people hand-building
time: we typically recommend 3 hours in the studio - this allows time to get oriented, explore the space, do any demos, and complete an original piece. we can, however, plan a shorter project for a 2-hour time slot.
activity: we offer both wheel throwing and hand-building private events. for throwing, there is a steep learning curve, so you can expect to make between 1-3 pieces. hand-building projects are more beginner friendly; a few examples of hand-building projects we've done in the past include butter dishes, travel coffee mugs, candelabras, trinket dishes, small planters, animal-shaped jars, etc.
