Beginner‑friendly and full of joy, this guided workshop invites you to paint your own ceramic plate. All materials included: the bisqueware plate, underglaze paints, clear glaze, & kiln firing. Intergenerational art is part of the fabric of Sweetwood — join residents & their families, community members, local students, and artists for an afternoon to craft new connections and create meaningful keepsakes.
Capacity is limited — so sign up and pay online to reserve your spot. We will also have some availability for drop-ins on the day of and payments can be made via cash, card, check, & venmo.

What to Expect:
A relaxed and creative session—no prior art or pottery experience needed. All ages welcome! Family friendly.
Get creative using underglaze paints to add floral patterns, whimsical doodles, geometric motifs, or heartfelt lettering on a custom plate you can keep.
Pricing:
$25 per plate, fully covers your plate, paint, glaze, and firing.
Want to make a second plate (or gift one)? Add $25.
After the Workshop:
Plates will be clear‑glazed and fired at North Adams Clay.
Your finished piece will be food-safe and sturdy enough for everyday use or display.
Items will be available two weeks after the workshop date.
Come create, connect, and leave with a beautiful plate you’ll proudly use—or proudly gift!
