Beginner‑friendly and full of joy, this guided workshop invites you to paint your own ceramic plate. All materials included: the bisqueware plate, underglaze paints, clear glaze, & kiln firing. Intergenerational art is part of the fabric of Sweetwood — join residents & their families, community members, local students, and artists for an afternoon to craft new connections and create meaningful keepsakes.

Capacity is limited — so sign up and pay online to reserve your spot. We will also have some availability for drop-ins on the day of and payments can be made via cash, card, check, & venmo.

  • Sunday, September 7th 2-4pm

What to Expect:

  • A relaxed and creative session—no prior art or pottery experience needed. All ages welcome! Family friendly.

  • Get creative using underglaze paints to add floral patterns, whimsical doodles, geometric motifs, or heartfelt lettering on a custom plate you can keep.

Pricing:

  • $25 per plate, fully covers your plate, paint, glaze, and firing.

  • Want to make a second plate (or gift one)? Add $25.

After the Workshop:

  • Plates will be clear‑glazed and fired at North Adams Clay.

  • Your finished piece will be food-safe and sturdy enough for everyday use or display.

  • Items will be available two weeks after the workshop date.
